**Q: I cant figure out how to find the size I need. What is the size 10 mean on the nut sizer part? I need to find a tap for a size 10 hole. Thanks**
A: Howdy Michael.  The 10 corresponds to a number 10 machine screw.  According to the Standard US Machine Screw Sizes, a number 10 comes in two thread sizes: a 10-32 and a 10-24.  The 32 and 24 refer to the number of threads per inch.  So, if you've used the gauge and determined you have a #10 screw, you'll then need to decide if you need the "fine" thread, 32 or the "coarse" thread, 24.  Your local hardware store could help you determine which you need and what tap size you'll need.

**Q: Is it both SAE and Metric?**
A: Yes it is both metric and SAE. On the backside it also has United States Thread Pitch and Metric Thread Pitch. Both Inch and mm bolt length are on longer sides. Bolt dia. goes from 3 to 22 metric and 1" to 1/4" SAE. The shoulder posts for nuts is more limited but has both metric and SAE.

**Q: what is the smallest and largest sizes?**
A: SAE screw = 1 inch  to #4
Metric screw = 22mm to 3mm
SAE nut = 5/8 inch
(no gauge for metric nuts)
Screw metric pitch from 0.70mm to 2.00mm
Screw SAE pitch from 10TPI to 24TPI

**Q: Are you able to use this as a drill gauge, or would I need a separate gauge for that?**
A: No, you need a separate gauge for that.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Handy, Simple to Use Guage for Sizing Hardware

I keep a large assortment of fastening hardware (not all of which has been sorted...) and have found this gauge to be indispensable. It can be a real pain to try to find a screw or nut of just a certain size without it. It is of a simple go/no-go design making it easy to use. It is another product from Rockler and is made from a heavy gauge plastic which seems to be pretty durable. I bought this through Amazon but since it comes from Rockler, they have what seems to be a pretty high shipping charge attached. If you happen to want one, I recommend checking out other Rockler products you might like/need as the shipping charge increases very little when ordering multiple products. No shop should be without one.
