The construction of the USB ports is superb, they are flush with the bezel of the hub, don't catch or snag on anything, and are heavy duty enough to stand up to some accidental wire pulling. It's overall a great product and anyone looking for a powered USB hub, this is a purchase you will not regret. Looks good on the desk and works well enough for light use or heavy data transfer! Review: Good hub - The hub is about the size of a deck of cards. All four ports are on one of the long sides, which makes the spacing a little tight. Some of my larger thumbdrives would not fit in adjacent ports. For those, an extension cable would be needed. The power supply is 2A, providing a full 500ma to each port. The hub was plug and play on my Linux system, and I'll probably use this for a future Raspberry Pi project. Just a quick update... The hub powers down when the host port goes down. As a result, you can't use the hub to power the host (for example a Raspberry Pi) via a second USB connection to one of the powered ports. You will still need to power it through it's power port.
