works great.
works great vacuuming down linesets by taking out all valve cores and valve core depressors gets down to a 1000 micron in minutes slows down getting to 300 but still faster then with out these. I bought two. note; you will not be able to get any readings or subcool after you charge the system with the tool installed you must install valve core remove valve core tool and put the valve core depressors back in refer hoses before installing hoses (or buy a second set) to system. I use fieldpiece 480. didnt want to buy a micron gauge or I could have bypassed the 480 manifold and installed refer hoses staight to the pump.. I use the fieldpiece 480 so I can monitor with my device as Im doing other task..

Works and Doesnt Leak
Bought a different brand to save ten dollars and it did not work. Yellow jacket works well and for only ten dollars more just save yourself the headache. (And actual headache from refrigerant fumes)

Very useful tool. I had heard good reviews by people who had successfully used it but I was unsure how well it would work for me. As with most things, you have to undergo a learning curve, although with this tool, it was a short, nearly-flat one. The tool does what it claims and it does it very efficiently. Removing the cores from the access ports does indeed simplify and reduce the evacuation times. Highly recommended.

Quality tool
Very well made tool. Does exactly what it was designed to do. Little pricey but worth every penny.

Leaks
Won’t hold a vacuum or pressure with out fiddling with it. I returned.

GREAT FOR REPLACING LEAKY VALVE CORES!!!
Used to change both leaking service port valve cores on my condensing unit. Obviously, since you can only feel what you're doing when unscrewing the valve cores, it takes some feel and can be tricky to get them to come out the first try, especially if the pin in the middle is bent. I found it is best to make sure the pin is straight and the core tool can catch a hold of it before you screw the device to the service port. So what if it takes a few tries, it's way better than the alternative!!! This tool seems very well made and looks like it will last a long time.
