Interestingly I find the wound G string wears out pretty quickly anyway almost mitigating the "long lasting" aspect of the strings coating. Basically from warm to bright it goes Polyweb, Nanoweb and Optiweb. For most Taylors I would chose Nanoweb for most Martins I would choose Optiweb. That's just a jumping off point as woods, age, humidity, tuning and just about everything else affect tones.One thing that most people don't mention is if you have a campfire or beach guitar these strings can help hold up in outdoor conditions pretty well.
