They're heavy and substantial - GREAT quality. The weighted measuring cups are great for easily measuring out ingredients. Who hasn't tried to measure out sugar, set it on the counter while you put the sugar back, and returned to find at least a quarter of their sugar on the counter? That doesn't happen with these measuring cups! They're super comfortable to hold, too - they feel very natural in my hands. My favorite part about the measuring cups: the engraved markings in each cup for the lesser-measurements (3/4c, 1/2c, 1/4c all marked on the inside of the 1c cup). I also love the fact that a 2/3c is included in the set - not many sets I've come across actually have one. The cups nest into each other perfectly, with a lip on each to keep them from collapsing into the larger cups. I used to have a set that didn't nest as well, and the smaller cups actually cut marks into the larger cups because they didn't fit well. That's not even remotely a concern with these cups.I can't say enough about the measuring spoons. They're also quite heavy and substantial. I'm not afraid of bending them when I use them (unlike most I've used in my life). I use the silicone measuring cup a lot more than I initially thought I would. It's so nice to be able to pour a liquid ingredient and not have to worry about spilling it everywhere or over-filling a measuring spoon and ruining a batter.All of these products have stayed completely rust-free, even with our "hardest-in-the-state" softened water. Most stainless products I've used and washed in our water have rusted, even after being hand-dried, because we have to use so much salt to soften our water. However, I can let these air dry and they're still completely rust-free, even 8 months later.The conversion chart is great, too. The magnet is strong enough that I don't have to worry about bumping it off the fridge as I'm walking by or if my little ones decide to play with the fridge magnets.Honestly, if weight is an issue for your, these might not be a good purchase. But if you can handle the extra weight, you'll learn to love it. I think these are the most expensive cups and spoons I've ever bought (or will buy) but I am very happy with them so far.I bought these because I wanted skinny spoons, which are easier to fit into jars, and because I liked the idea of the pouring spout (I make a lot of cupcakes.) These features are both great, as expected.I didn't think I cared about having a few extra sizes in the set, but it is pretty nice. If nothing else, it's nice to have an extra clean one sitting around for larger cooking projects. I also like that the cups and spoons are one single piece of metal. There's no seams or plastic grips to get all grimy or clean around. That and the rounded bottoms make them very easy to clean. Some of the larger cups not only show the full cup measurement, but also a couple marks for half of that, which is really handy.I thought the magnet was a good idea for my roommate, who is just learning how to cook, but I actually used it just last night to convert 1/4 cup (which was in the wash) to teaspoons (which was in my hand.) The magnet is a nice extra, and it's very heavy quality metal like the rest of the set.In all, I still think the price is a tad high, but I also think you won't find a nicer set anywhere and I am sure I will never have to replace these. Well, lets quick state that I am a type A. super picky personality and hardly ever happy with products, since often they end up not living up to my standards. Not this time, Hard to believe but BETTER than ever expected. The measuring cups are heavy. The good quality-type of heavy that you expect with only twice the price-tag! They are smooth and shiny, not gaps for food to get caught on anywhere! Super sleek. Super sharp! Also the way they are weighted is incredible! Put your current cups on the counter and most likely they will "fall" towards the handle. If full=big mess. These suckers stay straight and flat even if you "plop" them onto counter, so no worries for them to fall to one side and the milk or whatever is spilling all over your counter.I can't believe that I am having so many thoughts on this but there is more. They have a tiny pour spout which is super practical. And there is a 2/3 cup that most sets don't include. And also (yes, still more) measuring lines within each cup, so you can use the1/2 size cup and also use it for 2/3 or 1/3 ... UNREAl. I love the measuring spoons as well.
