The housing looks to be superior and weather tight. I have no doubt that it will stand up to harsh conditions but the range seems to be about 100 ft.Since reporting my 3 star review I have worked with the unit a lot more and made progress, so I am changing this to a 4 star rating. Rather than fighting obstructions I extended my antenna to get it in the clear and the reception has improved. It is unlikely that I will test the customer connectivity limits and my concerns are with weatherproofing and range.I will also contact NETGEAR to check on the firmware updates and to see if a more powerful POE injector will help with signal strength. It could not cover an 1800 sq.ft. house; dropped the signal significantly as it had to pass through one wall. The claim to fame is that it has an internal heater, so if you live in Siberia or Alaska, the mechanism won't freeze!!!!!!
