This was a surprise and man I loved it. Vicious prince takes us through a tumultuous ride, that is, Kiran and Jayna's relationship. External forces want to pull them apart but they will fight to get back to each other. The intensity between the two characters was amazing, and beautiful.One of the most commendable things about this book was the character Jayna. She is one strong lady. Fighting her way to get her footing in mysogynistic world, she wants to set her own empire up. The manner in which she fights soo many delusions that people have about women, one of them being that women are weak, is handled commendably.Another thing that I appreciated about the story was the fact that the author gave time to the protagonists to build their relationship. Things were true to reality and how fragile relationships can be. I loved how the relationship was more about being equal partners.The romance was hot and intense. The story kept me hooked till the end. And the writing in this book is amazing. It was full of explosive chemistry and interesting twists.This story is the second interconnected standalone in Street Kings series and I would say that you need to read the first story to understand what is happening in this one. Jayna Shah lost her soulmate Kiran King in an accident that was set up by her controlling corrupt father. She has moulded herself into a ruthless business woman who is far away from the society princess she was. But everything crashes down when she finds out that Kiran is alive and he is now back. Will she forgive him? Will Kiran protect her?It was a modern fairy tale with darkness, edge and sexy times in plenty. Jayna chose the bad boy Kiran who deals in violence and power and part of King Brothers empire. Kiran made her feel stronger and independent. But she was devastated and broken after she thought that he is gone. It is hard to accept him even when Kiran was fighting his own monsters. I felt I was reading half of a story where the reunion is happening here and everything else happened in the last story. Jayna is an impressive fierce female lead and their chemistry is undoubtedly on fire. Kiran is the vicious alpha who is soft for his queen only. I really don't understand why he kept Jayna in dark for years hurting her. A lot was happening in the book with so many characters and I was lost a lot of times. When Jayna finds out oh boy stand back, you can feel her anger. It’s like that saying, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. But I could not stop awwing and swooning over Kiran doing everything he could to win Jayna back.
