A very lovely story of what we wish the real story was like. Told very much like the 1997 animated movie, with a couple character name differences and plot changes, it should touch the hearts of anyone who loves the Grand Duchess.

    Couldn't Finish the Book

Well, I knew right from the start that the book was really similar to the movie, which in my opinion is a turn off. I wanted to read a retelling of the story, not a copy of the story. But I decided I'd go through and finish it, since I did like the movie. But I get to page 134 and the next page reads 39. I hate it when this happens to me. I flipped through the rest of the book, hoping the pages were an addition and not a replacement, but no such luck. How can I finish the book when I missing some 50 pages? I know it's unreasonable to expect them to check through the thousands of copies they make, but how can they make this kind of mistake? I didn't really like the way the story was written in the first place, but because I got the defective book, this is the review I give. I couldn't get a replacement, because I bought the book back in May, and it was passed the refund period, so now, all I can do is keep it.
