Allow more time at cooler temperatures. **Q: How scratch-resistant is this clear coat?** A: It’s a good product. I cleared coat the tank on my FLHTC and front bumper of my F150 and it has stood up well. I put at least 4 coats. It’s the only thing that worked to resist gasoline spills on the fuel tank after using other products. **Q: I got a minor scratch on my door thats about half an inch in diameter that is really bothering me. Will this cover it up well?** A: Depending on how deep it is. If it is too deep, No. You will need to sand, maybe bondo, then use this paint and then clear coat. **Q: Can this be used to coat the fiberglass cap on an RV?** A: Yes. I paint my new truck hood that is fiberglass and worked great. Just make sure no dust or moisture ## Frequently Bought Together - Rust-Oleum 252462 Automotive Enamel Spray Paint, 12 oz, Gloss Black - Rust-Oleum 249418 Automotive Sandable Primer Spray Paint, 12 Ounce, Black, 12 Fl Oz - Rust-Oleum 260510 Stops Rust Automotive 2-in-1 Filler & Sandable Primer Spray, 12 oz, Gray --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.de/products/3305936-rust-oleum-stops-rust-automotive-enamel-spray-paint-gloss-black](https://www.desertcart.de/products/3305936-rust-oleum-stops-rust-automotive-enamel-spray-paint-gloss-black) --- *Product available on Desertcart Germany* *Store origin: DE* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
