The finish is clean and smooth and looking good with the work Butter on it. The top is a nice wood with a rubber seal around the edge. This meets up and secures to the bottom with great satisfaction. Ultimately keeping my butter clean and safe from whatever might be flying around the kitchen. Easy to use. Allows me to have plenty of room temp butter on hand to spread at my leisure. Capital!

I'm loving this butter dish. It's a nice ceramic dish. Plenty big. You could probably get 4 sticks of butter in there or one 1lb block. This butter dish easily holds a full pound of butter, keeps it fresh and perfect for spreading. The lid fits perfectly and it looks nice on the counter. Very well made and I believe it will last a very long time.
