**Q: can you glaze a new crucible with this product?**
A: Yes, It is actually a good idea to "season" a new crucible before use. Slowly heat the crucible then sprinkle some borax inside, heating evenly to a nice orange/red glow. Sprinkle more borax and heat again. Continue those steps until a good coating ensures. It will have a glassy look once cooled. The more you use the crucible to smelt metals, you sprinkle borax with it to help flow and also separates impurities and this will continue "seasoning" it.

**Q: How do I mix this for basic silver sodering and sweat sodering pieces together?**
A: The way I use it, I place a small amount in a small dish (shallow cereal bowl) then add small amounts of water at a time, while mixing or "mushing" it together. It goes from dry, to a thick paste, to a thin paste, then eventually you want the consistency of heavy cream.. To use, make sure your surface is very clean and no gaps. Then using a cheap paintbrush (like the kind in those cheap watercolor kits) just brush on the flux over the area you're soldering. For sweat soldering, brush a very thin coat of flux on your silver sheet, then place your solder chips throughout. (the chips/flakes will stick to the flux). There are a ton of videos on YouTube showing this process. Good Luck.

A: I found it not helpful in the metal metaling process. I use it to coat my tools.
