Farther, closer?** A: Much larger, and the view angle much much wider. You would think it is a larger mirror than video. But it doesn't work very well. Isn't reliable. I leave mine turned OFF. Same with the BSD(blind spot detection). They need a firmware update to fix both of these features. They just are wonky. They go off TOO often or sometimes NOT at all. **Q: Can the parking mode be set to record for a specific time after the car is turned off and not shock dependent?, like 1, 3, 5, etc hours?** A: No only when there is motion detection **Q: How well does the BSD etc. work?** A: It works very well, good pictures both front and rear.
