Very strong (at the cost of added weight) and durable. No instructions but easy enough to work out even for an old duffer like me. Excellent price and service. It has a bit of a pong to it, so what I did was bought a cheap room air freshener in the bag and reloaded it ready for when I actually need to use it. That should do the trick. In a word, I am DELIGHTED ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Well made and practical, despite poor product description *by G***L on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 May 2024* The bed seems to be well made and sturdy and I find it perfectly comfortable. If you are confused by the product description, as I was, the legs and frame are steel not aluminium, which can potentially rust but is probably better for strength, and they are powder coated so should be well protected from the wet - although the manufacturers say nothing about water-resistance. The fabric is heavy quality and well sewn, but all the joins and hinges are plastic so this will be the area to watch in terms of longevity. The folding design is good, and although there are no instructions whatsoever provided, the bed was intuitive to unfold and there is nothing to connect or fix in place. I could only work out how to fold it back up again with help from previous customers and a lot of fiddling, but once you know how, it is easy.It's not 'oversized' as described, as the sleeping area is 185cm x 55cm, so no good for tall folks. It's only 'portable' in the sense that you can carry it from the car to your tent; no way is it for backpacking or kayaking or cycle touring etc, as it not only weighs about 7kg, it is a bulky package when folded and fits snugly into the cardboard box it comes in, which measures 106cm x 24cm. It's also not much use for fishing (too heavy to carry along with all your other gear and cannot be used as a chair) or the other uses suggested; it's really for sleeping on.Two features deserve a special mention. The raised head end, supposedly a pillow substitute, is fixed by the design and unfortunately cannot be either flattened or raised. This will not suit everyone, but it is not too high (10cm) and you could perhaps sleep the other way around if you like to have your feet elevated. Finally the whole thing creaks alarmingly as I move around on it, which is not caused by unstable joints or anything structural but by the fabric sliding slightly on the side poles which it's stitched around. I've tried lubricating with silicone spray but that didn't help. I am concerned that on a campsite or with friends nearby I will be waking everyone up as I move around in the night ... I'm hoping it is 'newness' and may ease with more use.For the price I thought it worth the risk of keeping it.*update* The loud squeaking at every movement has not eased, and lubricating with talc (as another reviewer suggested) has not helped either. I fear this will be a serious issue when sharing a tent as I will be doing next month....
