Review: Great Spreader - I just ordered this and used it yesterday. Assembly took about 45 min and the directions were straight forward. Like others have said don't tighten everything until its all together as it makes alignment of parts easier. I loaded it with 100lbs of granular fertilizer at once and had no issues. I kept the spread rate a little light and covered everything twice in different directions for an even spread. Like all broadcast spreaders it favours one side the way the product hits the spreader wheel. In all I covered a out 2 1/2 acres and had no problems at all. I didn't have any of the negative issues that so many other reviews list. No wheel skidding, tipping, missing parts, difficult assembly, etc. I was extremely impressed with the performance and would highly recommend this product.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Where is the spreader made?**
A: This is the exact same model as the John Deere spreader down to the last bolt! The only difference is the color.  It is made and manufactured here in the USA.  Dont blame the company or the product if you can not follow very simple directions because my 4 year old grandson can put this thing together with the directions they give you with your purchase

**Q: Will this spreader work with the X-series of John Deere mowers?  Just wondering how the spreader will line up with the hitch on my mower.**
A: We have a John Deere 320 and it works great.

**Q: What is the wheel tread and overall width the spreader?**
A: The wheel tread is a small knobby type but they do not do any damage to the lawn.  My spreader is at my retirement home in South Carolina but the overall width of the spreader tub is about 36" give or take a couple of inches. The wheel base is 26" to the outside of the wheels and the tub is wider than the wheelbase.

**Q: Is the tub metal or plastic ? Mainly going to use it for salt, and was thinking in the long run a plastic tub would be better, any info is appreciated**
A: It's a plastic tub. I use it for seed and pull it behind my lawn mower and have had no problems with it at all.

I just ordered this and used it yesterday. Assembly took about 45 min and the directions were straight forward. Like others have said don't tighten everything until its all together as it makes alignment of parts easier. I loaded it with 100lbs of granular fertilizer at once and had no issues. I kept the spread rate a little light and covered everything twice in different directions for an even spread. Like all broadcast spreaders it favours one side the way the product hits the spreader wheel. In all I covered a out 2 1/2 acres and had no problems at all. I didn't have any of the negative issues that so many other reviews list. No wheel skidding, tipping, missing parts, difficult assembly, etc. I was extremely impressed with the performance and would highly recommend this product.

Equipment itself is excellent quality. Only disappointment was 10 mins after it was delivered I had an email from Amazon offering the same item at more or less 50% less than I’d just paid
