Answer: Hi Dear Customer, Thank you for your inquiry about the undersink water filter system. We would recommend you to change the 1st stage per 3-6 months, the 2nd per 8-12 months, the 3rd per 12-18 months to get best filtration performance of the filter. However, the actual lifespan of the filters may highly depends on your feed water quality and your water usage frequency. Also here some tips for the change: 1. Taste- if you find the taste has changed, you may need a change 2. Water flow- if you find the water output is much smaller than before, it’s time to change the filters as well. Hope the information helps. ItΚ»s about 2 yrs old. Will it still fit?** A: I thought the same thing when I first got the replacements, but once I took one of the filter containers apart I realized they are the same as the ones inside the unit. **Q: Is it a hard water softener filter?** A: NO! You need a whole house softener. I have a Whirlpool softener and the filter behind that for potable water. You don't have to spend several thousands either for a whole house system. The big companies will try to sell you a $4-5K system that doesn't do any more than my Whirlpool. Their sales reps earn a very high commission. I've had the large tank ones in the past also, so I know what I'm talking about. About 4 years I got this Whirlpool for around $350.00 at Lowes. There are other similar brands. Do your homework. **Q: how do I contact Frizzlife to get the new replacement caps?** A: Contact them by their company email address. You will need to give them the date of purchase and where you purchased he system. ## Frequently Bought Together - Frizzlife M3005 Replacement Filter Cartridge Set (4 Pack) for SK99,SP99,SK99 New and SP99 New Under Sink Water Filter System - Frizzlife Under Sink Water Filter System with Brushed Nickel Faucet SP99-NEW, NSF/ANSI 42&53 Certified 3-Stage 0.5 Micron Removes Lead, Chlorine, Chloramine, Fluoride, Odor- Quick Change - Frizzlife UPDATED M3001 Replacement Filter Cartridge (S) - Sediment Filter Cartridge - 1st Stage For SK99, SP99, SK99 NEW, and SP99 NEW Water Filter System --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.de/products/292343217-frizzlife-m3005-replacement-filter-cartridge-set-4-pack-for-sk99](https://www.desertcart.de/products/292343217-frizzlife-m3005-replacement-filter-cartridge-set-4-pack-for-sk99) --- *Product available on Desertcart Germany* *Store origin: DE* *Last updated: 2026-11-04*
