In its present location adjacent to a TV in the kitchen the permanently lit blue neon is unfortunately (at the moment ) and being in direct line of sight a bit of a distraction , so it is something to consider. The main concern with these type of adapters is overloading the unit . Basically you can plug one big item ie fridge, washing machine and one small item ie radio, smart speaker etc. when it comes to the USBs only plug in phones ,mp3s and the like and NOT curling tongs or other heavy demand items.
