By the way, I Love this!!! And so do the grandkids!!! **Q: Why is this a "mini'? How does it differ from the original??** A: Overall size is just a little smaller. 2 less markers. Same size of eggs can be used on either one. **Q: Are the markers food safe? Egg shells are porous** A: The manufacturer lists the markers as "non-toxic". **Q: Can you use permanent markers?** A: Yes you can use any type of markers, crayons, pens etc...
