Not a new tank, it’s established.** A: It’s a polymer. It will bind particles together so your filter can catch them. Might need to get a smaller micron filter sock and/or a protein skimmer. Your filter probably isn’t turning over your tank fast enough. **Q: How is this product different from Seachem Pristine?** A: Stability, Clarity and Pristine are all different combinations of bacteria that perfom different function in your aquarium. This brand is the best deal because YOU USE MUCH LESS product per use. LESS THAN A CAP-FULL for 10gallon tank. The product works very well. Its not instant (mine was overnight), but good quality takes good time.
