**Q: What is the spring for?**
A: The spring on the vise is used to hold material out of the way while you are tying other material onto the hook. For example, if you are tying a wooly bugger, you can tie in the hackle and place the end of the hackle in the spring while you tie in the chenille for the body.

**Q: Can you explain why this has a prop 65 warning? The answer from 12/19 doesn't explain why.**
A: I would like to help as I have the same vice however, I have no idea what a prop 65 is, never any mention of such a thing on mine.

**Q: Do you have spare jaws? i have worn mine out but then again it's been twenty years and 1000s of flies. tim fuller, coromandel new zealand.**
A: No, I have no spare jaws for vise.

**Q: Can this Hook Vise be used to Snell up 1/0 hooks?**
A: I only use my hands to snell hooks no matter what size. If they are too small buy a pair of  3X magnification reading glasses to bring the process to your eyes better. I just used the vice for tying sea bass rigs and porgy rigs with some fashaboo and one of the florescent colored ( Pink or Lime Green) to give the dropper loops more pizzazz... I hope this helps....
