Proudly made in the USA, this strop is a must-have for professional carvers seeking precision and durability. ## Description Produced for honing and maintaining the edges on both the inside and outside of gouges and vee tools, the Flexcut SlipStrop consists of a complex moulding with two areas of leather and a bar of a specially developed honing compound. The compound is available separately for those wishing to use it on their existing strop. In use, the particular part of the moulding most suited to the chosen tool is rubbed crayon-like with compound and the tool stropped. A mirror finish is achieved quickly, and the resulting razor edge can be maintained by repeating the process many times before resharpening is required. Use for gouges and vee tools both inside and outside. ## Features - Sharpen your V and sweep and U gouges to a razor's edge - Features a number of different profiles to match all of your different tools - Includes 1 ounce bar of Flexcut Gold Polishing Compound - Keeping tools sharp is the simplest and easiest way to improve your carving - Made in the USA ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00FX9MHIG | | ASIN | B00FX9MHIG | | Best Sellers Rank | #76,630 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #98 in Sharpening Stones | | Brand Name | FLEXCUT | | Compatible Material | Alloy Steel | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (2,411) | | Customer reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (2,411) | | Date First Available | 23 July 2014 | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00651646070119 | | Grit Material Type | Aluminum Oxide | | Grit Number | 150 | | Grit Type | Fine | | Included Components | FLEXPW12 | | Is Discontinued By Manufacturer | No | | Item Dimensions | 12.7 x 10.2 x 2.5 centimeters | | Item Type Name | fixed blade, hunting knife, outdoor, camping;kitchen | | Item Weight | 0.4 Pounds | | Item model number | PW12 | | Manufacturer | FLEXCUT | | Manufacturer | FLEXCUT | | Material Type | Leather | | Model | PW12 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | PW12 | | Product Dimensions | 12.7 x 10.16 x 2.54 cm; 181.44 g | | UPC | 651646070119 696738295711 077347084635 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** FLEXCUT - **Grit material:** Aluminum Oxide - **Grit type:** Fine - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 12.7 x 10.2 x 2.5 centimeters - **Material:** Leather ## Images ![FLEXCUT SlipStrop - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Z6m9A1ckL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Where does the Flexcut Slipstrop's yellow compound fall on the spectrum of rouge -> white -> green?** A: I rarely use the yellow, rouge and white compound...I will get better results with the green on a leather slop for my carving tools. Afterwards, I finished with the Tormek Honing Compound PA-70 on another leather slop. Awesome results.. You have to experiment that will fit your needs. **Q: Does the block have concave areas for gouges?** A: Each "hill" on the block is a different shape so you can apply the gouge tool face-down on it. So no, no concave areas, per se, since the cutting is done primarily from the top side, which you turn face down and drag across the "hill" that best matches the shape of the tool (like in the picture) **Q: Will this work with my micro v shaped tools? I have sizes 1.5, 2, and 2.5 mm tools.** A: Yes it will, I use this on all of my carving tools, large and micro. It is the best stop I've had since my starting to carve 8 yrs ago! **Q: Is the tan area on the left a strp of leather?** A: YES, IT IS; YOU CAN ALSO CALL FLEXCUT TOOL COMPANY IF YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS, @ 1-800-524-9077 ## Frequently Bought Together - Flexcut SlipStrop, Polish and Debur Cutting and Carving Tools for Razor Sharp Blade Edges - ROCKLER Five Piece Power Grip Carving Set (Japan Import) - Mikisyo Mikisho Power Grip Chisel Triangular 0.06 inch (1.5 mm) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.de/products/269625413-flexcut-slipstrop](https://www.desertcart.de/products/269625413-flexcut-slipstrop) --- *Product available on Desertcart Germany* *Store origin: DE* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
