I needed pantry space, and this fit the bill. I always intended the space to empty out for me to put some kitchen electronics that has just not happened. Fast forward to 2025, and we had minor flooding in my living space. This allowed me to remove several years of stuff that was just lying around not being used to make room for more shelving. Unfortunately, the initial shelf I ordered, which was cheaper was delayed by over a week. I was very frustrated and irritated. Because, in the meantime, it meant I had a mess of things that had no place to go and it was so visually overstimulating. I thought that shelf would never make it. And be auto, canceled and refunded. So I ordered this one because it could arrive next day and it did!!!! It did cost me $15 more and after the flooding, every dollar mattered. But at least I knew what to expect, because my initial shelf was still going strong, still looked good, doing its job. This took more time to get out of the box and open up than it really did to assemble. Only one person is needed as long as you're tall enough, you can do this. Simple, straightforward directions, you put the feet on at the bottoms, you put the plastic things on the same spot of the legs and then slide the shelf into place. And you put the plastic things on, and just slide the next shelf into place, and the best part is you can move them if they're too far or too close. This is great for storage when you have some items that are taller and some are shorter. I had mine set up and pretty much covered in no time flat. The feet are great as they screw on so if you have an uneven surface, you can unscrew them a little to make your shelf more stable as level. It doesn't come with any wall mounting to prevent tipping. If you need something like that, you'd probably have to find something heavy duty at a hardware store for that. That's not my concern I don't have children in the home. Overall I highly recommend and if my shelf that's in limbo does not arrive I might be buying a third one of these because I need more upward storage space. Review: Extra simple to assemble, and extremely sturdy. - This was the EASIEST shelf system to put together I have ever purchased. The directions were a little odd, very few words and pictures that were no help, but the part labels were clear enough and that was all I needed. I find it amusing that so many others who purchased this say they needed a mallet to put this together. I needed nothing at all, and it's all due to the genius design of the shelf parts. The kit comes with 4 short poles and 4 long ones that attach with a coupler bushing that screws in to one end of both, they just twist together with your hands. The feet also just twist in, so that all that is left is attaching them to the shelves. There's a bag of these shelf support clips - this is what is brilliant. The way the clip together, around the legs of the shelving, if you look very closely at them one end is slightly wider than the other once they are snapped together, and this is by design. You can easily measure the distance on each leg because there are indented markings that you can count, and they're all exactly in the same place. You snap a shelf support clip in to place on the desired spot, making sure that the narrower part of the clip is pointed toward the top. Once all 4 clips are in place for the first shelf (always do the bottom one first!!) then you just slide the shelf down on to the clip, and the shelf is snug! Once I got the first shelf in place at the desired height from the ground that I wanted, I set the frame upright so that the empty poles were pointing up. Then I just snapped 4 more clips on at the spot I wanted my next shelf, slid the shelf down onto to the clip, pushing the shelf holder down over that narrowest part of the clip and once it reached the widest part, it is forced to stop in place. I repeated the next two shelves the same way. These shelves don't bow in the middle like plastic shelving does. I got this to store all my paint supplies, leaving the bottom shelf just high enough to store a set of gallon cans below it. Once I figured out the design of those clips, my job was easy. No place in the instructions is it discussed about the clip design (there are no actual words other than the names of the parts) - so it took me a few minutes to notice how, when the clips are snapped together, one end is slightly wider than the other. The ease and sturdiness of these shelves is fabulous. I am a 59 year old woman and was able to put this kit together in about a half an hour, and part of that time was deciphering the funky instructions! I am impressed. These shelves, along with several plastic storage containers purchased separately, have created a perfect storage solution for me. They were so easy to put together, I think each one took me maybe 15 minutes. No tools required but I did use a rubber mallet to tamp the shelves fully down onto their clips. After settling one shelf onto its clips, I noticed I had the clips in the wrong place on one side. It was no problem to tap the shelf up off the clips with the mallet, move the clips to the right place, then tap the shelf back down. I like that the shelves are lightweight, so if I decide to reconfigure my storage space, it’ll be easy to do.
