## Description

If big hits and bone-jarring descents are your idea of a good time, you need a stem that can hang. That’s where the Hussefelt Stem comes in. Forged 6061-T6 aluminum body is lightweight and durable to withstand big hits and rough terrain. Designed with 4-bolt handlebar clamp and 2-bolt steerer clamp with a weight of 203g for the 40mm and 42mm steerer clamp stack height. Available in two lengths, 40mm and 60mm, and two colors Blast Black and Snow White.

There are other stems you can buy for more and a few you can buy for less (although the ones for less look like they'd break after a bumpy ride, in my opinion). This one balances strength and quality with price. I highly recommend it. Reducing the distance to my handlebars by the approximate 3" that this short handlebar stem has provided has made a huge difference in the fit of my bike.
Review: Great short stem - I bought this specifically for use with my 31.8mm bars, since none of my other stems were this size. I also wanted a short stem, so this fit the bill. I wasn't able to find one like this locally (surprisingly). It looks great - I don't usually like excessive branding but this isn't bad, really. It keeps you in a more upright position, so if you feel like you're leaning too far forward, it may be a good stem to check out. It's very sturdy and very well-made - the only downsides might be if it's not fitting you comfortably which is 100% personal preference and all about the way you like to ride. I happen to love it.

**Q: When it says 40mm long, how is that measured?**
A: The 40mm is measured from center to center. In other words, from the center of the handlebar to the center of the steer tube.

**Q: Will this fit my mercier kilo track tt?**
A: Sorry this was bought as a gift for someone else.

**Q: Does the 60 mm stem have chrome lettering in the front ?**
A: Yes

**Q: Whats the torque for the installation of this stem? On the steering tube and the handlebars clamp.**
A: I just keep rotating around tightening until something snaps then order a new stem and do a half turn less than what caused the last one to snap.

Solid stem. Very stiff and robust. I like the fact that the bolts are 5 mm all around. Plus, it looks really nice too. Can't say any more since I haven't ridden much. Will update. Update 10/4/16: installed on my commuter hardtail which may be loaned to some team members. I'm a short guy so this stem works very well. As I said previously, it's very stiff, robust, and good looking. A bit heavy, but my bike is about 30 lbs anyway so I could really care less.
