However after a firmware update to the camera it increased to 256 gb. I personally use a 64gb card. They are cheap and last a couple years if you buy a good brand. The recordings loop. When full it records over the oldest video first as long as the video was not locked as an incident. So I get about 10 hours of video before it records over the oldest. **Q: My cigarette lighter doesn’t turn off even if my car is not running...will this drain my batterry?** A: You can buy a fuse tap from other vendors on Amazon and use it to hardwire the camera to a switched fuse (like windshield wipers and possibly the radio) in your vehicle. 5his will cut power to the camera when the vehicle is off. And start it up when the car starts. No need to worry about plugging/unplugging the camera. **Q: Can this connect to rear cam** A: No, the V1Basic does not support a rear camera thus the plug (hole) is there.
