Review: A MUST have - I don't write reviews often but I had to for this alarm. And I've never written one with this much detail, but it was necessary. My step-daughter, 8 yo, has always wet the bed. I don't mean an accident here or there. I mean full on peeing in an overnight pull-up, every night. Not a little bit, but often soaking through the pull-up. Her doctor reassured us there was nothing wrong and that eventually her brain and her body would catch up. She was getting more embarrassed by it and being in a soaking wet pull-up overnight was irritating her skin. So after doing a ton of research on bed wetting alarms I decided on this one. And I am SO glad I did. We started off by setting up an air mattress in her bedroom for one of us so we could sleep in her room with her. This is key for the first 3ish weeks. She needed to have a parent with her to ensure she heard the alarm go off and to get her to the bathroom immediately. The first week I'd say the alarm went off 3 times each night as she started wetting the bed. We'd get her up and bring her into the bathroom to finish in there. By week 2 it was going off 1-2 times a night and she was waking up immediately by herself. It was still important for one of us to be with her to ensure she got up and to help her clip the alarm back on. By mid week 3 we decided to let her handle the alarm by herself at night because she had been waking up as soon as she heard the alarm going off. We also did a few practice rounds of her clipping the alarm back on herself so she could do it if we weren't there. By week 4 she was down to having it go off once and it tended to be early in the morning. She was holding her pee all night long (YAY!) and it would go off around 6am ish because she'd start to have an accident. We're now on week 13, since we started the alarm, and she doesn't use it at all now. Around week 8 she started asking to stop using it but we told her we wanted her to keep it on just in case. It was around week 10 we stopped using the alarm all together. She has maybe 1-2 accidents a week now and it' always early in the morning. She's made so much progress and we couldn't be more proud of her and she's proud of herself. This alarm has given her a sense of confidence that she hadn't had before. Some tips to share: When she started using the alarm we put underwear on her and clipped the alarm into those. We then put a pull-up on top of that. This allowed her to still feel the wetness in her underwear and for the alarm to go off. But it prevented us from having to change the sheets multiple times a night. We kept this up for quite some time, until we felt comfortable the accidents would only happen infrequently. That being said, since she still has them we put a pee pad down on her bed so if she has an accident her sheets aren't soaked through and she can easily take the pee pad off and put another one on. We've empowered her to handle her accidents because it helps ensure she knows she accountable. When using the alarm be sure you wipe the prong off after each accident. If you don't the alarm will sense wetness and continue to go off. It's super sensitive to wetness/dampness but it's suppose to be. In the moment it would get annoying that it would keep going off and we'd have to have her go back in and wipe the sensor and re-wipe herself, but that's the point of the alarm. We'd just remind ourselves it's doing exactly what we need it to be doing. The clip can be tricky to attach. I'd suggest practicing, both child and adult, so you're not fumbling with it while the kid is in soaking wet underwear in the middle of the night. Overall I cannot say enough good things about this. We really thought we were stuck with her wetting to bed and wearing pull-ups to bed for many years to come. It does take patience but it's so worth it!!!
Review: Great product at an affordable price! - Update: We have used this alarm for almost a month now and it has worked perfectly. He now has a full week completely dry and has only had two alarms for tiny leaks in the last two weeks. The alarm woke him so early, that he only had a drop or two in his undies and we didn't have to change bedding at all. I'm very happy with this alarm. Also, for a kiddo who sometimes carries the alarm by the cord and swings it around by the cord, I'm very pleased with the quality of the product. It has held up well. We don't clip it to pajamas - just lay it on my son's bed or pillow next to him because he doesn't wear a pajama top to bed. We've only has one single instance of the alarm not sounding - the second week we used it, my son clipped it a bit too high up on his underwear, so it was not near where he actually wet. That was easily fixed by making sure the alarm is positioned right where it should be and we've had no other issues. If I'd known it would work this well, I would have bought it sooner. **Q: My child sleeps very deeply and is very difficult to awaken. How strong is this alarm? It is designed for these cases?**
A: My son was 7 yrs old and was such a sound sleeper he had never had a dry night.  The first week of using the alarm he was awaken by the sound/vibration but had already had an accident. By week 2 he was not waking during the night to go, but was staying dry. It's been 4 months and no accidents!  I was amazed how well this product helped my son- we had tried EVERYTHING!  I recommended this product to a friend and she had same results.  Good luck

**Q: will it work on a pull up or does it have to be underwear only?**
A: It needs to be underwear because it clips on the outside. It works by sensing moisture and it wouldn't be able to do that through a pull-up.

**Q: What do you do with the extra foot and a half length of cord? Im concerned about it getting wrapped around her neck as it is as tall as her. Is there**
A: We didn’t have so much slack, maybe 6 inches. We threaded the cord from her arm into and under her pajama top and hooked onto her underwear.

**Q: My wife is diabled. she wears a poise pad inside a depends night-defense. i want to use this alarm to know when she is wet. what to i clip this to?**
A: You clip one side to a tshirt. And the sensor has to be right where she would be wet, so for my son it's clipped basically right in front of his.... ya know so as soon as he's wet it would go off.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth 3X the price!

So I don't normally write reviews but I felt like I should because this has really changed our entire night time life! When I got this I was at my Wit's end and my five year old twin daughters were still wearing Pull-Ups at night. I talked to the pediatrician about it at their five year appointment and she explained that 15% of normal children with no biological issues will have bed wedding until age seven when they finally mature out of needing some sort of diaper at night. This seemed crazy to me and we have tried everything to encourage they're readiness to be pulled up free at night time and they also were saying that they didn't want to wear pull-ups anymore. Looking back they were potty trained during the day at 3:00 or 3 1/2 years old and they were pull ups at night. They were never dry in the morning and they were wild cards during the day for naps. I ended up reading a lot about the bladder brain connection during sleep and young children and I told myself maybe they're just sleeping so deeply that there bladder can't get through to their brain to wake up and go to the potty. Long story short and getting pregnant and I was determined to find a way for them to understand during sleep to wake up and go to the bathroom especially since when they would have accidents they were so upset I could tell that it was all very involuntary. Nonetheless the constant cleaning of dirty sheets was driving me crazy and the sleepless nights while I was pregnant and already having trouble sleeping was just killing me. Finally I bought two of these alarms and extra large dog pee pads. I taped the dog pee pads to the mattress underneath of the sheet where they sleep so that I didn't have to keep cleaning the mattress cover. I could peel the dirty sheet off and then throw away the pee pee pad and start over. We started with these pee alarms from day one with normal cotton underwear alone because I think that Pull-Ups give the child a sensation of a diaper and even subconsciously makes them think it's okay to release the urine so we got completely away from anything that felt like a diaper. I showed them what it would sound like and feel like we talked a lot about it all day long they were very excited to try them. I then slept with them for the first night so that they could experience it with me right there and it wouldn't be too disorienting the first time knowing that they would pee and it would sense it. The sensor is very very accurate and very sensitive do not be misled by the price these are very good. Actually I believe my husband said how much did you spend on this and I told him and he said oh well they're going to be junk there's more money wasted on Amazon! Boy was he wrong!it took my one daughter about a week to 10 days before she could get consistently into more than two or three days dry. My other daughter who was definitely having a harder time all around with this but had the emotional desire it took her more like two to three weeks to get into a rhythm. The sensor gets clipped to the outside crotch of the underpants and then we clipped the control box to the front chest of their shirt because if they were laying on their side or their back it seemed to be the most comfortable spot. We never put it on their wrist, I would then wrap up the rest of the cord which is a bit long but probably perfect for an older child and I would stuff the cord into their pajama pants so there wasn't any slack otherwise it's just kind of everywhere in the bed. You can set it to vibrate and make noise and I did this and it worked out well I was a little worried that if one kid was alarming the other one would like false alarm and wake up but this hasn't happened yet. And they sleep in the same bedroom. I have no other device to compare this to but for something that is temporary it seems to be a real deal of a price and it does function and work exactly as advertised. We've used the batteries that it came with since we got it probably 4 to 5 weeks ago haven't changed them since. Now that we've been at it for over a month and they've had sleepovers using them and no accidents for quite a while we will probably start to wean off of them. I'm getting ready to have a baby and prior to this I was waking up all night long waking them up so that they would go to the bathroom thinking that maybe it would help them to understand to wake up all night long to pee and I realized that it wasn't really teaching their brain or their bladder anything but these alarms do actually start to condition them to understand in a sleep state to wake up and go to the bathroom it's amazing. Don't hesitate, buy it!
