In the microwave, place the gel pack on a paper towel and heat at full power for 45-60 seconds. Reheat at 10-second intervals until desired temperature is reached. On the stove top, bring 3 quarts (3.5 liters) of water to a boil. Remove the water from heat source. Never immerse the gel pack while water is being heated.
