My hunt brush, my audioquest brush shed, I noticed it on the white colored album.** A: The brush is a microfiber, so when it removes the dust from the record, you will see some white residue on the brush. If you rub the brush in the opposite direction on a cloth, it removes the dust from the brush. It is possible that some of this might remain on the record album. But the Vinyl Buddy is a two step system. Spray the microfiber brush with the included cleaning spray, then clean the record, and then use the small horsehair brush as a final sweep. **Q: Do you notice a significant improvement in the sound quality? Crackling sound is gone?** A: My records are about 50 years old. I still have some crackling in the sound, but cleaning it with the solution and using the brushes has helped significantly. Getting the dust off each time I play them gives me a descent sound. **Q: Do they sell the solution separately for replacing when you’ve finished?** A: not sure-shoot them an email if you can't find it at amazon...there are plenty of other solutions but personally i like this product quite a bit. **Q: Why are there 2 different record cleaning brushes?** A: One is to wipe dust off record .( Large one ) I use the brush to wet clean records .
