You can not carry it like a gps.... **Q: does it speak the directions** A: Yes IF you use the default voice. If you use one of the other voices it will not say the road names, only turn right or left. **Q: does it need an sd card** A: No it does not require a SD card. **Q: does it have demo mode like old model?** A: Yes it does. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple *by E***K on May 8, 2017* Simple to use, simply to update. Mount leaves a lot to be desired. A good little GPS as always from TomTom ### ⭐ Defective Products but company seems to get rid of these items during big sales event- Real cheating *by K***R on July 3, 2018* I bought this product TomTom VIA 1415M 4-Inch GPS around six month ago but I started using this gps recently. It is a defective product. I used it for 1 week only. It is not getting switched on afterwards. It is really cheating. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Loses its gps signal *by G***M on August 22, 2019* I really like the user interface on this device. I use a lot of favorites. I find it easy to manage my favorites. Saving and navigating to my favorites is also easy. I like the way my favorites are presented in alphabetic order. But on the downside, the unit takes minutes, sometimes 3, to acquire a gps signal when the unit is turned on. Also, I've had trouble with the unit losing its gps signal while driving. It is the gps signal problems that have driven my decision to replace this device. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.de/products/24588566-via-1415m-4-inch-gps-with-lifetime-map-updates](https://www.desertcart.de/products/24588566-via-1415m-4-inch-gps-with-lifetime-map-updates) --- *Product available on Desertcart Germany* *Store origin: DE* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
