Most thermostats works within a + or - range of actual temperature. That said, be sure you can absolutely trust the thermometer giving you an opposing reading. Once I ran the new wiring, this thermostat was easy to install. The display is large and easy to see with the bright backlight. Temperature adjustment is easy to set and the controls are easy to operate. It operates my HVAC as it should and even looks decent.
