## Description

This product is manufactured from volcanic rock (basalt) pulverized into fiber and then woven into a extremely strong but pliable weave. A common trade name is for this is Titanium wrap and for good reason as it will withstand continuous temperatures at 1500F and intermittent temps of 1800F. This wrap is 2" wide and 50ft long and is supplied with six stainless ties 5/16" wide x 14" long (minimum dimensions). The product has been known to reduce under hood temperatures 50% or more. No need to wet this material or use those spray on additives. This wrap has a premium weave and is very easy to install. When installing, generally 1/4in overlap is recommended. Do not use this wrap if your engine leaks oil or other fluids. Do not use this as a heat trace insulator on leaky pipes. Although the wrap doesnt burn... the fluids in it can. Buyer, user, and installer assume all responsibility for keeping wrap clean and free from fluids and other contaminates. Fully clean and degrease your pipes and let dry completely before installation. No responsible for buyer, user, or installer negligence. Generally it takes 100ft at 2" width to wrap V8 headers. A 2" x 50ft roll can wrap most any small engine header such as karts, mini bikes, or some choppers and pocket bikes. As with any fibrous product, always wear gloves, long sleeves, long pants, close toed shoes, safety glasses, and a dust mask when handling or installing. Always check temps before making any wrap purchase. This item exclusive to HDM only
