Review: Must Have For Testing CO Detectors! - Awesome product for testing CO detectors! I used this product to test a Defender 6150 and a cheaper Kidde. Amazingly, the cheaper Kidde which is 7 years old reacted in 5 minutes once exposed to the CO in the ziplock bag. The Defender 6150 disappointingly took twice as long to go off and it was brand new! The Defender 6150 did accurately display the CO ppm correctly from the start at 10ppm all the way up to 500+ppm and store the results in memory. Now assuming your awake and happen to have the Defender 6150 in view, it would alert you visually that you need to exit the premise much sooner plus the added benefit of being able to view current/minute/peak CO levels. Realistic, you'd stand a better chance of getting out sooner with the cheaper Kidde detector once levels reach 400ppm and up because it activates the alarm so much quicker! All testing & results were verified against a Fieldpiece SCM4 CO detector (brand new)! For those claiming this product is only air in a can, please buy a real CO detector that HVAC techs use [Fieldpiece, Testo, UEI, TPI, etc.] and then you'll discover how idiotic your statements are regarding this product! Also, learning how to properly test a CO detector would be beneficial too :o)
Review: This did not work for me. I have a ... - This did not work for me. I have a First Alert CO detector. My approach was to place the detector in a zip lock bag, zip it, and expose just enough to get the straw in. I then sprayed this in the bag. I sprayed for about 10 seconds (instructions on can says 3 to 9). I zipped it closed and let it sit for over an hour. I let it sit that long because most detectors are not designed to alarm instantly. They monitor the level for about 10 minutes or so and then sound the alarm. To be fair, my First Alert detector does not provide any information on how to test it. The only test is to press the button which only checks electronics, not actual CO detection. The reason I am giving this product 1 star is because there is no way to tell if anything is in the can. If you shake it, you feel nor hear anything. I have no idea if it is empty or not right now.

### ⭐⭐ Not worth it?
*by T***. on February 11, 2018*

So got the product promptly. Picked up the can and felt empty. Notice there is all of 0.07 oz of "product" in it. After carefully reading the directions sprayed at ONE Halo plus smoke / carbon monoxide detector. Spray lasted about 15 seconds and the can was empty. Detector did not trigger. Either the Halo does not work or this "test" can is a waste of money.
