The pictures say 6-9v, the description says 6-12v?** A: I recently ordered some of these so I just checked. The board itself says "DC in, 7-12 volts". Please keep in mind that some fully charged 12 volt batteries can produce a voltage of 13+ volts. I've not tested so I cannot say for sure. If you are regulated @ 12 volts you should be fine. **Q: Is the voltage regulated by linear or switching regulator?** A: Linear **Q: Can these be used to provide a positive rail and negative rail?** A: No. It's either 5 or 3.3v **Q: Are these good for testing guitar pedal circuits?** A: These are good for any low current application where the requirements are 3.3V - 5V input.
