All I can say is it was stuck on it quite firmly, and even though I was able to flex the rail some, it didn't deform at all while I man-handled it. I eventuially got the stuck mount off of there and inspected the rail and it was good as new. They're made of extruded aluminum vs. stamped sheet metal, so they're less prone to bending an deformation when subjected to equipment loads.
