The cardboard tube was a little crushed but there was no sense sending it back. It was easy to assemble, taking about an hour and a half (not including drying time for the glue and paint). I replaced the streamer with a much longer one, nearly 7 feet and ALWAYS put some string-line marking chalk in the tube before launch. Since it's very easy to lose sight of the rocket when it passes 1500 feet, the chalk makes a good cloud when the streamer deploys. Without the chalk and longer streamer, we would have lost it long ago. We usually use C6-5 motors which launch it high enough to impress anyone. Next we're going to try launching it with a D10-7W motor. Might lose it when it hits 3000+ feet but at $8, the fun will outweigh the loss. Remote? Light a fuse?** A: First off you will have to buy the motors separately. They do not come with the rocket. Then you should buy a launch kit that consist of a launch pad stand, blast deflector, rod and wired remote control that takes either AA or AAA batteries. All of what I mentioned can be purchased separatly but cost much less if you buy as a package. Go to Estes.com to look at their products. A great deal is the Estes Eliminator XL. Come with a large Rocket and all the launch produces less the motors. The only issue with this rocket it is rather large and for a beginner and requires D or E class motors and ALOT! of room to launch...and I mean alot. Best part is you can find this complete kit on Ebay for around $25.00. Estes is $30 plus shipping. Launch kit itself cost that much or more. Google Model Rocketry and there is plenty of info. **Q: What rocket engine does it require?** A: it can use a lot of different engines from A8-3 (recommended for the first flight) up to C6-5 or C6-7 (which produce the highest altitude). Other ones are A8-5, B4-4, B6-6 **Q: Is this a level 1 model rocket** A: I don't remember their levels, but this model is easy to assemble. My elementary school science student had no trouble putting them together, and we had lots of fun launching them. though I ran the launcher. **Q: How far will it go away from launching point answer in feet or yards** A: It depends on how well you aim relative to the wind. With the most powerful motor it can reach 1600 ft. altitude. And it can drift anywhere from nothing to miles (in a hurricane for example). For a typical launch on a calm day, expect it to return somewhere within 500 ft. (or much less with a smaller motor) I find that use of larger motors is less fun... The with a C6-7, the thing disappears in a quarter second and you're lucky if you see it come down. Total scam ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cool rocket! *by M***X on 13 May 2023* This thing is pretty cool! I decided to just paint the whole thing black because it's what I had on hand. Thought I'd write this review before I launch it because it sounds like I might not get it back😅. Had a little trouble with fin alignment, but after a few tries, it turned out alright. My favorite glue for making rockets is hot glue because it's sturdy, easily shaped, and dries almost instantly. The only downside side is it's more messy, and since it's almost instant, you really have to be fast and precise!
