I used a microfiber cloth to protect the steering wheel (after reading about the possibilities of scratches), but the tray fit perfectly and was stable enough for me to rest my iPad on the steering wheel, eat a bowl of salad, and rest my beer in the cup holder. Buy food at the drive-in, park the Model 3, select a suitable profile to get the seat and steering wheel to an appropriate distance, mount table, eat food while watching YouTube or Netflix. Very Civilized.No more crumbs falling between my legs onto the drivers seat.
