It works well, I bought it mainly to smash avacado to spread it in a toast in the morning. I used to do it with fork and got tired how long it takes if avacado is not super soft. I’m short on time in the mornings, so this is a great improvement in efficiency for me. Don’t forget to prep it per instructions. I lost a piece of paper with the instructions, but found plenty of videos on YouTube.

This item has been a game changer for me in the kitchen, especially with guacamole and pico de gallo making. It was easy to prep and reliable to use for more than a year. It is heavy: I believe it will last a lifetime, but also it can be awkward if you want to tilt it with one hand to transfer contents to a bowl. To me, this is worth it because it’s large enough to hold a batch of guacamole made with three large avocados. It’s so beautiful that I leave it out on the kitchen counter.

True granite, not concrete. It's large enough to make guac for six or more. It's very good at crushing, grinding, and pulverizing whatever spices, aromatics, or veggies you want. It's heavy, but that's a good thing.

Morter & Pistol are exceptionally functional for grinding all types of food ingredients. Just be prepared for considerable prep time to prepare the device for use properly.

Arrived in good shape. Makw sure you grind some rice in to get rid of the initial dust. Some reviews criticize it being heavy... it's rock... it is... rock...
