I am using a glass dip pen and calligraphy ink and not getting any bleed through. The paper is not as smooth as the Oxford notebooks but still comfortable to write on . The clear plastic cover protects the pages and gives you the opportunity to decorate the first page to make your own cover. The colour of the paper is a definite cream, which is perfect for my use, but could be a problem for someone making notes that include colour swatching. I intend to use one to make a journal of my sashiko stitching project and the dot grid is a real bonus as it is perfect for charting hitomezashi patterns.
