It provides necessary animal and vegetable proteins, and essential nutrients required for excellent growth, color, health and longevity. Kaytee Koi's Choice formula is nutritionally complete, helps turn your backyard pond or aquarium into a haven for all of your pond fish. Kaytee's Koi's Choice is for Koi, Goldfish and other pond fish. Feeding frequency varies with water temperature and the amount of growth desired. Never provide more food per feeding than will be fully consumed within 5 to 10 minutes. Remove uneaten food. In warm water (above 60Β°F), feed the koi and goldfish food pellets one to five times daily, increasing the number of feedings as temperature rises or to achieve desired results. In cool water (50 to 60Β°F), feed one or two times daily. In cold water (below 50Β°F), feed every other day. Do not feed below 40Β°F. Perfect for pond owners, these freshwater fish pellets support fish nutrition and make fish keeping easy. Review: fish love it. - i have 5 koi and 3 goldfish outdoors, all ranging in size from about 6 to 16 inches, not including their tails. they love this stuff, they've been on it for maybe a year and a half now. it never gets moldy, seems to last a while. small enough for the goldfish, and the koi can also eat it, although it takes them a bit longer to find and eat enough (it gives the goldfish a chance to compete though). the fishes' colors are bright, the goldfish especially are that gorgeous scarlet color. my tancho kohaku's white turned a buttery yellow on this, but whatever she's still cute yellow. just be aware that may happen with other white fish. Review: Good quality and a lot there for a good value. - This is good quality fish food. It's a brown color that is normal for what I'm used to getting my fish. The pellets are a good size for both my goldfish, and my koi fish. My goldfish are adults. It seems like the koi like it a lot, and the goldfish are a little bit skeptical of it but they started eating it after a couple of days. That is sort of normal for them whenever I try to change food. But now they're eating it and everything seems to be going great. I think the koi like the taste of it a lot. They are really gobbling it up. And when I can tell it is easy for them to digest it. They are eating a lot of it. It floats, and it doesn't fall apart easily. They eat all of it pretty quickly so I don't know what it will do if I leave it in there because they just eat it too fast. Right now it's the middle of the summer, and so they are really eating a lot. I will slow down when it gets to the fall, but for right now I'm feeding them at least twice a day with it. They look happy to me. I'm going to give it five stars. All the pieces are about the same size. They are not exactly round but sort of round. It doesn't appear to have any rough edges so I'm good with it. I think it's a good value for the money. 3 lb turned out to be a lot. ## Features - Provides necessary animal and vegetable proteins - With 35% protein, fish meal is the first ingredient and supports tissue and muscle development - Great for Koi, Goldfish and other pond fish - Floating pond fish food that's suitable for all seasons - Fish oil, wheat germ meal and alfalfa meal to enhance eye, heart and cognitive functions ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0002DK91U | | Additional Features | Koi's Choice, Floating Fish Food | | Age Range (Description) | All Life Stages | | Age Range Description | All Life Stages | | Allergen Information | Allergen-Free | | Animal Food Diet Type | Veterinary Diet | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,373 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) #3 in Fish Food | | Brand | Kaytee | | Brand Name | Kaytee | | Breed Recommendation | All Breed Sizes | | Container Type | Bag | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 10,700 Reviews | | Flavor | Fish | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00071859012476 | | Included Components | Kaytee Koi's Choice Koi Floating Fish Food, 10 Pound | | Item Form | Granule | | Item Type Name | Kaytee Koi's Choice Premium Fish Food | | Item Weight | 10 pounds | | Manufacturer | Central Garden & Pet | | Manufacturer Part Number | 100037020 | | Model Number | 100037020 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Occasion | Birthday | | Pet Type | Fish | | Product Benefits | Koi's Choice Koi Floating Fish Food | | Recommended Uses For Product | Storage, Year-round use, Different fish species, Feeding | | Special Ingredients | Alfalfa | | Specific Uses For Product | Appetite Stimulation | | Target Species | Koi | | UPC | 071859012476 | | Unit Count | 160 Ounce | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** All Life Stages - **Brand:** Kaytee - **Flavor:** Fish - **Item Form:** Granule - **Specific Uses For Product:** Appetite Stimulation ## Images ![Koi's Choice Floating Fish Food for Koi, Goldfish & Pond Fish - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81CD1ZqaGrL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: What fish is this food for?** A: It is made for Koi, Goldfish and other pond fish **Q: How does it help support clearer pond conditions?** A: The highly digestible floating pellets are designed to help reduce waste in the water which supports cleaner feeding and clearer pond conditions **Q: Can I use it all season?** A: Yes, it is made for all season feeding, however, the routine should be adjusted based on water temperature and fish activity **Q: How much should I feed?** A: Offer only what fish will eat quickly and remove uneaten food. The day I started using these it was weird how much they flocked to them. Plus being a bit smaller than some of the others they are easier for the goldfish. ## Frequently Bought Together - Kaytee Koi's Choice Koi Floating Fish Food, 10 Pound - Summit Clear-Water Barley Straw Pond Treatment, 2-Pack, Treats upto 2000 Gallons, 1000 Gallons per Bale - TetraPond Pond Flakes, Complete Nutrition for Smaller Pond Fish, Fish Food for Goldfish and Koi Fish, 6.35 Ounces --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.de/products/2178564-kois-choice-floating-fish-food-for-koi-goldfish-and-pond](https://www.desertcart.de/products/2178564-kois-choice-floating-fish-food-for-koi-goldfish-and-pond) --- *Product available on Desertcart Germany* *Store origin: DE* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
