## Description

Bisque fix is a white paste that is excellent for mending material or fill up broken cavities. It can be colored to match the bisque using metal oxides or ceramic stains. After applying with a spatula, fire to the temperature of the clay and glaze that you are using, up to Cone 10. Bisque fix is an air set concrete type product and can be kept longer if when you are done using it, put a thin layer of water in the jar then recap and store. When you re-use it, pour off the water, remix and apply as normal.

Review: GREAT -- but, not the delivery package! - As others in reviews have noted, desertcart sends this in a manila bubble wrap envelop. If the post office drops it, the hard plastic jar will break and spill all the contents inside & outside the envelop. That's what happened with my first order. They sent a replacement and it was packaged the same; however, this time it wasn't broken. This stuff DOES WORK! I've mended greenware and bisque-fired pottery. It's amazing stuff and others in my pottery club have fixed their broken pieces with it. Best product I've found that actually works! You do need to fire or re-fire prior to glazing, but that hasn't been an issue for me or anyone else who I know who has used this product. desertcart should send this in a small box with some bubble wrap to ensure the container isn't smashed by the post office before it arrives!
Review: Great for creative applications as well as fixing bisque! - This stuff is fantastic. Follow the directions carefully and it will work great to patch together broken bisque. I used it to stick small figurines to the inside of mugs before glazing (like a small whale figurine on the inside of a cup painted like the ocean), and had absolutely no issues with the figurines breaking off. If you're looking to use this for that purpose, it's a great choice. I also used it to re-attach a handle of a mug and no one could tell the difference once I was done and the piece was glazed (the handle was shaped like an octopus tentacle, so it had some texture to begin with). Because it's somewhat gritty, it would pretty much be impossible to put together a broken cup or piece perfectly - although it would work if you REALLY wanted said cup to be put back together, but don't expect it to look just like new again.

**Q: if this dries up in the jar, can it be reconstituted with water?**
A: I thin mine with water all the time

**Q: Hi wouldl this work on a bisque antique doll?  I have a very small flake off from around the dolls eyes I want to glue on**
A: I would suggest E 6000 glue. Bisque fix is for firing clay.

**Q: Can you use acrylic paint over this when you repair a crack. Was not planning to glaze the piece, wanting to dry brush.**
A: I would imagine you could use acrylic paint on the repair.  However, the instructions advised me to fire the mold before using it.  ??????  I fuse glass.

**Q: I have a bisque piece that has an indention in the underside, would this product fill the indention with a refirin for bisque?**
A: Yes, it should work. I've found the bisque fix needs sanding down for a smooth finish after firing.

I love Bisque Fix from Amaco!!! Works beautifully on broken bisque pottery before glazing. But…. Out of 6 times ordering from Amazon only 2 times it came usable. The other 4 times it was dried out. Unless!!! Amazon is wonderful with their returns. But unfortunately this product doesn’t ship well. Buy from another source in person.
