Effectively controls many types of green or green water algae, string or hair algae and blanket weed in ponds that contain live plants. Controls existing algae and helps resolve additional algae blooms. Keeps ornamental ponds and water gardens clean and clear.

Review: Drain a bit of your pond to speed up results and you won’t regret it - Works great! Fish and plants are safe, dogs drink from the pond and they are OK too ha ha 😅 I had bought a lily with a little bit of string algae and within a few weeks it was spreading and the entire pond was turning green so I looked up a bunch of different solutions and this seemed to be the safest and best results. I used as directed with about a quarter cup per 600 gallons and it did ok, but there was still major algae on my beautiful rocks so I drained the pond half way, let the sun cook the algae on the dry rocks for a couple days then mixed about 1/8 of a cup of the algae fix in a spray bottle of water and coated the stones where algae was and let it sit for a hour before filling the pond back up with hose water and turning the little stream back on and WOW 🤩 I can see the detail in the stones again with ZERO scrubbing and the stones under the ones I sprayed are also starting to clean up with crystal clear water!! Will definitely use when needed for ever
Review: If you have an algae problem this will solve it. - This stuff is awesome! I’ve used this for years! You can see it working within 15 minutes as bubbles start to rise to the surface. In 1 day you can see a difference. If you are pitch green and can’t see anything it will take about a week and you may need to retreat. My only complaint is the price tag. I want to try another brand too because I can’t keep up with the price. Other competitive brands offer algaecides $20 less. I buy about 2-3 a year, so that’s my only complaint.

**Q: my Filters clog daily and have UV clarifier with this help clear filters?**
A: If its algae that is clogging your filters then algae ide works real well. Ive been using it for about 3 yrs now and never have clogged filters from algae.

**Q: I have an approximate 90' x 40' x 2-3 ft deep frog pond.  Will Algaefix harm the frogs?**
A: I have had several small local frogs throughout the years and they seem to do fine. My pond is 10 x 20 cement and I have had turtles that are not harmed by pondcare products.

**Q: Can this product be used with a a UV light?**
A: Algae fix reduces oxygen in the water and as far as I know a UV light does not do that, so it should be okay, but I would as a expert pond person such as at Aquascape.

**Q: How much is used per gallon of pond water?**
A: 8 ounces treats 2,400 gallons. To use: Add 1 teaspoonful of PondCare AlgaeFix for every 50 gallons of pond/fountain water. Repeat dose every 3 days until algae is controlled. Do not use with crustaceans, including crabs, shrimp, and freshwater lobsters.

Works great! Seems to do a good job. Adding more frequently to the fountain, as water's evaporating so I have to keep adding water. So far, pleased with this product.
