The whole face of the tile is nicely engraved and painted so that they are easy to distinguish or read from a distance. The rack is cheapy but it works. This will easily fit in a suitcase or purse. It's a really impressive travel set and the tiles are very well made. Its a case that's about the length of a domino's case but not as thick. There are trays for tiles which stack on top of each other. Everything fits inside case nicely and it snaps shut securely. Came with dice. Easy to carry.
