## Description

desertcart.com: Logitech Inc, HD Webcam C615 (Catalog Category: Cameras & Frames / Webcams) : Electronics

Review: Works on PC and Switch2! - I purchased the Logitech C615 webcam back in January 2023 for around $30, primarily to handle Zoom conference calls. From day one, it worked flawlessly—great video quality for the price, easy setup, and no issues with compatibility on my laptop and desktop pc. For everyday use like video calls and virtual meetings, it absolutely delivered. Recently, I needed a webcam for my Switch2 device and decided to test the C615 before buying something new. To my surprise, it connected and worked right away with the Switch2—no extra configuration needed. That saved me from spending more money. In short: it's affordable, dependable, and more versatile than I expected. I highly recommend the Logitech C615 if you're looking for a solid webcam that just works—on both PC and Switch2.
Review: Good for Streaming - I use this to stream on Twitch and I'm very happy with it. The image is nice and clear, as could be said for most of the cameras from this brand. The camera can be set up on its own stand or a tripod. I haven't had any issues with the hardware disconnecting or giving me any other technical issues. It has a blue indicator light that shows when it's on. I use this with a streamdeck and switch between this and another camera quite a bit. It never disconnects or has other issues. running it through a USB SS extension cord and that hasn't been a problem, either. I don't have anything bad to say about this camera. It has the type of mount that you can put on the top of your screen or an a tripod and the mount allows you to adjust tilt and pan manually. It doesn't have any automated features. I'm using this through OBS on Windows 11. Other software options might offer some more versatility but, if you just need something with a good image that you can use for streaming, this is a good option. It's not the fanciest or most feature-rich option, but it's very good and, given the price, it's a great value.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does it have a 1/4" mount to attach to a camera tripod?**
A: Yes, it does have a 1/4 inch tripod socket, under a rubber cover in the base.

**Q: so how does a 30$ webcam go to 108$whats made this better than my c922?**
A: Supply and demand. Remember, the manufacturing of webcams became nonexistent for a few years as they were built into laptops. With COVID everyone started doing Zoom and demand skyrocketed. while supply remained the same. Now, the C615 is a very good webcam with 8 megapixels vs 2 megapixels that the 922 has. Also, the C915 has low light correction which again, the 922 does not have. Now, the 922 is not $30, as it is currently listed at $99 on the logitech website. Remember, supply and demand.

**Q: Does it come with a privacy shutter?**
A: The camera does not come with a shutter.

**Q: does it mount to the monitor?**
A: it has a piece that clips to the top of monitor.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good camera, crappy attachment
*by A***Y on January 20, 2021*

This is a great camera for the price. The picture and audio quality is high! I bought this when I started working from home and being on zoom meetings all day, and the camera quality is super crispy! My one gripe with it is the way it attaches to my laptop....its a very loose/unstable way to attach. It seems like this attachment method is common for webcams but it SUCKS. Any time my dog walks by my desk or my leg hits it, it looks like I am in an earthquake because its basically just balanced on my computer. Any company that comes up with a better and more secure way to attach webcams will be a winner in my book!
