I'm not sure why the manufacturer includes a weight number unless it's a "government" regulation. Don't have a clue as to why the shipping weight shows 1+lbs. Not only does it smell good, no static and what hair that didn't come off in the washer, definitely did in the dryer, as my lint filter was full, way more than usual. Only drawback is, I wish the container was bigger. This is a product I would put on subscription and I never do that. You only need a cap full for a large load too !! I have 3 big hairy stock dogs that leave enough hair around to make a new dog every day, so this product is a blessing. I put some mixed with water in a spray bottle and misted my carpet.
