So a 30:1 mix would require (128/30) 4.27 oz. of oil per gallon. Best of luck measuring that last quarter ounce! Frankly, I wouldn't worry overmuch about being that accurate ... **Q: 50:1 2.6 oz to one gal?** A: Yes. One gallon = 128 fluid ounces. Divide by 50 = 2.56 ounces of oil per gallon of gasoline for a 50:1 mix. **Q: Does the top part have a marking to make it easy to measure 2.6 oz?** A: Yes, it measures from 1.0 to 3.2 oz. **Q: Do you use the same mixture for 30:1,40:1,& 50:1? Or do you have to mix it differently for each ratio?** A: The manufacturers want you to believe you have to buy their specific mix but all 2 strokes have upper and lower limits: too much will smoke and might foul plug, too little will harm engine. The lower limit is the same for ALL 2 strokes. I have poulan,Shindaiwa, Echo, Husqvarna. Which "require" everything from 25/1 to 40/1 and use 1 mix for all for 5-6 years.
