Is it going to run out quickly? Should I get two?** A: They do run out fairly quickly if you use them a lot. I would recommend ordering two---this is what I did. It helps a little bit to keep the point pointed downward when not using it. This helps the remaining ink to flow to the tip. **Q: Is this product any different from a big ol magic marker?** A: Yes. I first tried marking out the account information I wanted to obscure with a regular marker, a sharpie, and with a dry erase marker, but you could still see the information when you held the document up to a light, when it was copied, and when it was scanned. With this product it was completely obscured. **Q: I want to use this to redact documents for scanning. Does the ink bleed through to the other side of regular copy paper? Thank you.** A: This item is used by us specifically to black out personal information on documents to be disposed of. In order to provide an informative answer, we tested the item with copy paper and determined it does bleed through to a certain degree. It is definately seen on the opposite side of the paper, though not as intensely. The ink flows smoothly and is very opaque. It is also easy to transfer to your hands and surroundings when not allowed to dry first. We hope this has answered your question. Regular markers just aren't up to the task. These do a better job. Ink out the stuff that's uber secret, run the paperwork through a copy machine 1x, and there is no reading what you covered up. Stand alone these redaction pens are so so. Biggest complaint is the short lifespan.
