Never have I heard such humility, courage, honesty, strength, benevolence and if I left out any good character traits, please fill in the blanks. She and Mitt are pure, unadulterated class and should be dragging this ruined country out of the much in which it has been dumped. I am Not LDS, nor do I have a diagnosed illness, well, except for coronary artery disease but that is mostly controllable for a "normal" life, but her story, told the way she tells it has to be a beacon of hope for all who can benefit from it in that way. Wished for more scientific research data and breakthroughs to be shared. Interesting alternative therapy experiences and their benefits.i.e., reflexology, diet, equestrian. I applaude her philanthropy for the Ann Romney Neurologic Center in Boston. Ann's been lucky that her MS has stayed in a remission level for so long of which she shares, "they don't know just why." She willingly remains a guinea pig of sorts with MRI's and blood work for research. After reading this it did give me pause if this is MS or Lyme disease or both? The diagnosis was made in 1997, when little was known of Lyme disease. The neurological symptoms of Lyme can and do mimic other neurological illnesses. Lyme disease just wasn't on the medical radar in '97 as it is today and the testing to determine such has been convoluted and politicized. She never mentions in the book that Lyme had been considered or testing done. Both, her love of horses and living in the new england area where the cases of Lyme (and MS) are high. My niece in Vermont went undiagnosed for six years before finally being diagnosed as Lyme. It presented as other neurological sumptoms, muscle weakness, brain fog, etc all being misdiagnosed with repeated negatives for Lyme.
