In the end, we ended up keeping the rear light switch and forgoing the metal plate because we bought a full chevron plate to remount all the switches.We bought our machine used with a hacked dash job. These buttons have a solid feel, are easy to operate with winter gloves, and are lit with the key on, adding a second light when the device is turned on. Love the blue light and have installed a matching setup.
