The remote must be held at the same level as the pot and very close or it doesn't come on. I had a vision of turning the pot on from my front door with the remote! NO WAY!. Because I DID NOT get up when it was pitch black I could not tell if the pot was on or off so ran through a whole bunch of batteries.I would recommend the variety that you just turn on the switch at the bottom. Much less trouble! ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Clear direction needed. *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on May 29, 2020* It was not easy to put the ring with the battery's in, directions should inform you there is a cut out are where to the tabs that are on this ring. The use of the loose tab does help to make it go counter clock wise. Also there is a CLEAR plastic insert in the remote for the lights. Either color it or let it known that it needs to be removed in order to make it work. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.de/products/17750480-1660-2pk-color-luma-pot](https://www.desertcart.de/products/17750480-1660-2pk-color-luma-pot) --- *Product available on Desertcart Germany* *Store origin: DE* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
