While another used Warehouse Deals unit worked, it didn't even include a power cord in the box.The plate itself is so small as to barely be usable, the stirring function, when it works at all, yields wildly inconsistent and unstable speeds, and despite the product image, no sensor holder was included in either of the three boxes. In this respect, the main and only product image violates Amazon's product image rules, as many who answered a customer question indicated the product did include a sensor holder.Even though I received one working unit out of three, I will almost certainly return it because 1) the size and functionality are poor, and 2) there is no guarantee it won't stop working right after the return period. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Everything I wanted *by B***Y on Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2016* Does a nice job of controlling temperature and stirring with minimal if any fussing around. I did note some negative reviews regarding the limited heating wattage. I use a 500ml Erlenmeyer flask and it gets as hot as I dial in the temp. With an open beaker you obviously lose more heat to the environment. Not appropriate for boiling the ocean (smile).IMHO the probe is not optional - it's a necessity. It allows me to measure and control to the liquid temp, not the plate temp.Controls are easy enough. Purchased with 213B2 Karter Scientific Glass, and Scienceware 371100118 PTFE Octagon Spinbar. Awesome combo! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Maybe I just got a defective one? *by D***D on Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2013* After 1 day of use when i turned down the burner and allowed it to cool off i came back and the porcelain was popping off. Nothing more than 1 drop of water touched the hot plate. Half of the porcelain had cracked off! I wrote the manufacturer we will see what happens.This is unacceptable $260 down the drain.***UPDATE*** The manufacturer apologized saying this should not have happened and sent a brand new upgrade to stainless steel without any hassle at all. Replied same day on a Sunday night.
