The book includes wonderful illustrations and classic Ørberg glosses. Probably best to tackle after completing Familia Romana and other readers in the series, as well as some general extensive reading. Review: Love the content. I’ve also invested in the ‘Exercitia’ and the ‘Companion’ to both I and II . I’m an autodidact and tend towards perfectionism. I treasure my books and take great care of them. I read a lot. Keeping the books pristine takes continuous attention to detail and concentration BUT I feel this is an intrinsic part of the learning process. After all I’m aiming for perfection in my Latin just because… aren’t I. I received three of the series today. They arrived in separate packages. All three were dog-eared. I probably won’t send them back, as I don’t want to wreck the environment, but I know that I shall be bothered by their condition for a long time. I would NOT have bought these copies from a, bricks and mortar, book shop. This reminds me that one of the other of the series also arrived in such a condition and I kept that. I’ve bought quite a lot of books and have usually preferred to order such that the product was dispatched, etc, by desertcart. I’m thinking of changing this as it looks very much like their standards are slipping. If I were to liken desertcart to an on-line grocery supplier I’d say that it’s worth noting that they are sending bruised fruit more and more often. A bit shoddy really IMHO. If your learning Latin I highly recommend these series. Not dry or stuffy.
