Rock Phosphate is the usual product recommended for an aquaponics application but this product does not turn the tank water brown like the rock phosphate does. The reason for the supplementation in an aquaponics system is that the only other products that go into the closed system are rain water and fish food. The fish food provides enough supplements for the fish but not for the plants. I have been using about 1/2 teaspoon of this product about once a week for about a month. The cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, celery. and kale have all experienced explosive growth. I plan to back off on the dosage now before the cucumber plants try to grab me as I walk through the greenhouse.
